Art Santos

Director of Tennis - Peter Burwash International (PBI)

As a veteran professional with Peter Burwash International (PBI), Art Santos has directed a wide variety of hotel, resort and club tennis programs around the world.

Originally from Hawaii, Art is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Hilo, where he played the number one position and was the Hawaii State Collegiate Champion in singles and doubles.

Since joining PBI, Art has managed tennis programs in Asia (Hong Kong,  Malaysia, China), the Middle East (United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of  Oman), Europe (Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland), and   the Caribbean  (St. Kitts, Nevis, St. Maarten), as well as in the United States. He also has been a major performer in the PBI Tennis Show, which has performed in 95 countries.

After such a variety of assignments, Art has enjoyed settling with his family into a long-term tennis directorship in Wisconsin, where he has spent the last 20 years overseeing an active program at Kohler’s Sports Core and the American Club Resort.

A certified USPTA professional and racquet stringer, he also serves as Chairman of the Wisconsin Tennis Association’s Junior Development Committee. Within PBI, Art is acknowledged as one of the company’s most experienced and successful teachers, taking his students’ games to the next level, whether beginners or competitive players, while always increasing their enjoyment of the sport.
