COURSE RULES                                                              

1.         All golfers are required to check in at the Golf Shop before starting play & utilizing the practice areas.

2.         Local rules are posted in each locker room and should be read and observed carefully.

3.         All golfers are required to observe the etiquette and playing rules of golf.  Pace of play for a foursome is established at four (4) hours for 18 holes.

4.         If a player or group of players is delaying following players and has more than one clear hole open ahead, the following players should be invited to play through.

5.         Players looking for a lost ball should not delay following players more than 3 minutes, after which they should signal the following players to pass and having given such signal, they should not continue their play until the following players have passed and are out of range.

6.         Bunkers should be entered from the low side and left from the same point of entry.  Please rake bunker after completion of stroke, leaving the rake in the bunker.

7.         All divots taken by players should be replaced and pressed down.

8.         All ball marks on greens should be repaired using a tee or ball mark repair tool.

9.         Players who have holed out should not try their putts over when others players are following. They should leave the green as promptly as possible.

10.       Golf bags, pull carts, and power carts should not be placed in front of, on, or within 30 feet of a green, nor should they be dragged over any part of a green.

11.       Empty bottles, cigarettes, candy wrappers, and other debris should not be thrown on Course or Club grounds.

12.       The dress code as posted in the Locker Rooms shall be observed.  Proper golf attire

            is required and is in effect throughout the year.

13.       No Fivesome policy: Allowed before May 1 and after September 30 daily.  Between May 1 and September 1 fivesomes are permitted at non-busy times, usually after 3:00 p.m. Please contact golf shop staff for confirmation to play five or more. (gangsome).

14.       All guests must be accompanied by a member and registered with the Golf Shop.  Exception may be made for a sponsored foursome at non busy times.



GUEST PRIVILEGES

1.      Each guest must be introduced by a member and must be registered in the Golf Shop before playing.

2.      A guest fee will be charged for each guest using the golf course.  Nine holes at half rate.

3.      A.  Use of Golf Course by Guests.  Any Golf Member may extend to guests the privilege to use the golf course, including practices areas, upon prior registration.  No guest may use the golf course more than three (3) days in any fiscal year, except that immediate family (as defined below) of the member may use the golf course not more than five (5) days in any fiscal year.  “Immediate family” means grandparent, parent, child, grandchild, or spouse of the foregoing. 

      B.  No outside foursomes or groups (defined as anyone not accompanied by a member of Pine Hills) may be allowed to use the golf course on any Thursday during the months of June, July and August.

 C. Any Golf Member or his/her spouse may invite up to 7 guests to play golf and must accompany guests during play (Thursdays in June, July & August members are restricted to 3 guests before 11:30 and after 2:00 to further include 2 guests between 11:30 and 2:00).

C1.  Any Golf Member may extend golf privileges to 4 unaccompanied guests at non-event times when play warrants.  Regular guest green fees apply and must be charged to member’s account.

D.         Exceptions to Guest Restrictions.  Exceptions to the restrictions in the preceding section may be approved by the Board of Directors upon written request.

E.          Use of Golf Course by Member-Sponsored Groups:  Subject to the provisions of Section A and Section C above, in the event a Regular Golf, Single Golf, or Senior Golf member wishes to extend privileges to use the golf course to more than seven (7) guests on any one (1) day, he or she shall first obtain permission from the President or Vice-President of the Club.

4.      Guests from "Immediate Family."  Guests from the immediate family (parents, children, grandparents, or in‑laws) of a golf member will receive green fees at one‑half the daily rate, if playing with the member (not to include brothers, sisters, brother-in-laws or sister-in-laws).

5.      Unmarried Regular Golf or Senior Golf Members:  Any Regular Golf or Senior Golf member who is not married may extend golf playing privileges to a guest of the opposite sex without payment of guest fees, provided member designates that individual to the President or Vice President of the Club at the start of the golf season as their, “Significant Other”.  Single Golf Member must transfer to a Regular Golf membership to receive playing privileges for their family members and/or significant other.


OUTING POLICY

Large golf groups will normally be considered when a written request is submitted which includes the purpose and general description of the group outing, anticipated attendance and sponsoring member's statement accepting full financial responsibility for all group charges.  These large groups will be scheduled for Mondays and require 60 or more players.  Attempts will be made to combine groups with less than 60 players to utilize the entire golf course and clubhouse facilities.  The possibilities of an outing on Wednesdays or Fridays exist and can be coordinated with General Manager and Golf Professional.

The General Manager may, at his discretion, require a $1,000.00 non‑refundable deposit to confirm the outing date.  Deposits will be applied to guaranteed event charges.

When an outing date is confirmed, detailed arran­gements for golf and clubhouse requirements, and confirmation of charges should be coordinated with the Golf Professional and General Manager well in advance of the scheduled date.



FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HOST

The Host Member assumes financial responsibility for all charges incurred, including property damages.

Sheboygan Country Club will provide the Host Member with a single billing statement of all event charges that will be posted to the Host Member's House Account.  Statement copies may be forwarded to organizations when they are expected to make payment on behalf of the member.

The Host Member is responsible for collecting all charges from participants and making a SINGLE payment for charges, including Golf Car Fees, Green Fees and Restaurant Charges; Tennis and Golf Professional may be paid directly for Prizes, Merchandise purchases, Pro Services, Driving Range charges, etc., when prior arrangements have been made.  Individual cash bar purchases may also be arranged.

All incurred charges will be subject to Wisconsin Sales Tax unless a copy of a valid tax-exempt
cer­tificate is provided to the Manager in advance.



PRACTICE TEE

 1.  Range times posted in the Golf Shop and in locker rooms.

 2.  Only practice balls furnished by the Golf Shop shall be used on the practice tee.

3.   Practice balls are not to be used on the golf course.

4.   Use of the range is included in all golf memberships.  Green fee paying guests of golf members may also use the practice range for warm up prior to their tee time.  Range use for guests will be limited to this time to ensure that the teeing areas stay in excellent condition for member use.



MOBILE GOLF CARTS

 1.  Arrangements for use of golf carts are to be made with the Golf Shop. Current rental rates available at Golf Shop.  No more than two (2) bags per cart will be permitted.

 2.  Only two (2) riders per cart will be permitted.

 3.  The Greens Superintendent, after consulting with the General Manager and Golf Professional, is to decide when carts are not to be used on the course.

 4.  Cart users are to control the acceleration of the motor to avoid spinning or skidding of the wheels during starting and stopping of the cart.  Extra care should be taken around the greens.  Carts shall not be operated within 30 feet of a green or tee unless on a cart path.

 5.  Cart users are responsible for the immediate repair of damage to the golf course caused by carts.

 6.  The cart operator will be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, and will be responsible for any injury to himself or others, and for damage to any property, including the cart.  (Check your auto insurance for inclusion of this coverage.)

 7.  Regular golf etiquette is applicable to cart users.

 8.  Carts must not be driven over or parked close to any tee or green, or on the slopes of bunkers.  Where constructed, cart paths must be used at all times.

3.  Juniors must be age 14 or establish a handicap of 36 or less

     to play without an adult.

4. Handicaps must be established in the Golf Shop by posting a minimum of five

                            18 hole rounds, (ten 9 hole rounds).
